This is a great analogy of how bad the current financial crisis is and how overvalued it was a year ago.

One year ago… RBS paid $100 billion for ABN Amro.

Today… The same amount could now buy:

Recent Market Capitalizations of Major Banks

Recent Market Capitalizations of Major Banks

And still have $8bn change……with which you would be able to pick up GM, Ford, Chrysler and the Honda F1 Team.  Amazing!
